Warranty Summary

For 90 days from purchase date, Sears will repair or replace the PROFORM J6SI Treadmill Exerciser free of charge, if failure occurs due to defect in material or workmanship.

To operate the PRO-FORM J6SI Treadmill:

  • Insert the key into the console to turn it on.
  • Select your desired mode using the MODE button (Manual or Program).
  • For programs, set the maximum speed using the SPEED buttons.
  • Press START/STOP to begin.
  • Adjust speed and incline during your workout as needed using the console buttons.
  • Hold handrails and wear the clip for safety during operation.
  • To measure heart rate, hold the metal contacts on the handrail.
  • Remove the key when finished to turn off and unplug the treadmill.

Troubleshooting and error codes

Problem Cause and Solution
The power does not turn on
  1. Ensure the power cord is correctly plugged into a surge suppressor and grounded outlet. Use a UL 1449 TVSS surge suppressor (120V AC, 15 amps).
  2. Verify the key is fully inserted into the console.
  3. Check the circuit breaker on the treadmill; reset if tripped (wait 5 mins).
  4. Confirm the on/off switch is in the 'on' position.
The power turns off during use
  1. Check and reset the circuit breaker if tripped (wait 5 mins).
  2. Ensure the power cord is securely plugged in.
  3. Reinsert the key fully into the console.
  4. Check that the on/off switch is in the 'on' position.
  5. If issue persists, call helpline.
Console displays do not function properly
  1. Check the Reed Switch and Magnet alignment near the pulley under the hood. Gap should be ~1/8". Adjust Reed Switch position if needed.
Walking belt slows when walked on
  1. Use a UL-listed surge protector (15 amps, 14-gauge cord, <5 feet).
  2. Loosen walking belt if overtightened by turning rear roller bolts counter-clockwise (1/4 turn each). Belt should lift 3-4 inches off platform. Keep belt centered.
  3. If issue persists, call helpline.
Walking belt is off-center
  1. Belt shifted left: Turn left rear roller bolt clockwise, right bolt counter-clockwise (1/4 turn each).
  2. Belt shifted right: Turn left rear roller bolt counter-clockwise, right bolt clockwise (1/4 turn each).
  3. Keep belt centered and do not overtighten.
Walking belt slips when walked on
  1. Tighten walking belt by turning both rear roller bolts clockwise (1/4 turn each). Belt should lift 3-4 inches off platform. Keep belt centered.
