Warranty Summary

Miller Electric Mfg. Co. warrants the XMT 350 CC/CV for 3 years parts and 3 years labor on original main power rectifiers and 3 years parts and labor on other components, against defects in material and workmanship.
To operate the MILLER ELECTRIC XMT 350 CC/CV welding system, follow these basic steps:
  1. Connect Input Power: Connect either 1-Phase or 3-Phase input power according to the instructions in Section 4-3 and 4-4, ensuring proper grounding.
  2. Select Process: Use the Mode Switch to select the desired welding process (e.g., Lift-Arc TIG, Stick, MIG).
  3. Adjust Settings: Use the V/A Adjust control and Arc Control to set voltage, amperage, and arc characteristics as needed for the chosen process and material.
  4. Weld: Initiate welding according to the procedure for the selected process (Lift-Arc TIG or Stick Start as described in Section 5-4 and 5-5).
  5. Monitor Output: Observe the Voltmeter and Ammeter displays to monitor weld output values.
Refer to the manual for detailed instructions, safety precautions, and specific settings for each welding process.

Troubleshooting and error codes

Trouble Remedy
No weld output; unit completely inoperative. Place line disconnect switch in On position (see Sections 4-3 and 4-4).
Check and replace line fuse(s), if necessary, or reset circuit breaker (see Sections 4-3 and 4-4).
Check for proper input power connections (see Sections 4-3 and 4-4).
No weld output; meter display On. Input voltage outside acceptable range of variation (see Section 4-5).
Check, repair, or replace remote control.
Erratic or improper weld output. Unit overheated. Allow unit to cool with fan On (see Section 3-3).
Use proper size and type of weld cable (see Section 4-6).
Clean and tighten all weld connections.
Check for correct polarity.
No 115 volts ac output at optional duplex receptacle or Remote 14 receptacle. Reset circuit breaker CB1 (see Section 4-8).
No 24 volts ac output at Remote 14 receptacle. Reset circuit breaker CB2 (see Section 4-8).
