Warranty Summary
Power ON/OFF and Volume: Press and hold the POWER/MENU button for 3 seconds to turn the radio on/off. Use the â–²/â–¼ buttons to adjust the volume level.
Channel Selection: Press the MENU button once, then use the â–²/â–¼ buttons to select a channel. Confirm with the PTT or MENU button.
Transmitting and Receiving a Call: To transmit, press and hold the PTT button and speak into the microphone. Release the PTT button to receive.
Scanning Channels: Quickly press the SCAN button to start scanning channels. Press SCAN again to exit.

Confirm the radios have the same channel settings. Make sure that you are within range of the other transceivers. Buildings and other structures may interfere with your communication. |
Radio is not responding to button presses |
Make sure key lock is not on (See Keypad Lock, Page 9). Radio might need to be reset. Turn radio off then on. |
Display is dim | Recharge or replace batteries. |
Charger not functioning |
Contacts on the bottom of the radio may require cleaning. Ensure the outlet where the charger is plugged in is functioning properly. Check that the battery pack is installed in the radio properly. |
