Warranty Summary

Midland Radio Corporation warrants the FRS/GMRS transceiver for three years against defects in material or workmanship.

Power ON/OFF and Volume: Press and hold the POWER/MENU button for 3 seconds to turn the radio on/off. Use the â–²/â–¼ buttons to adjust volume during RX or standby mode.

Channel Selection: Press MENU button once, then use â–²/â–¼ buttons to select channels. Confirm with PTT or MENU.

Privacy Codes: Press MENU twice, then use â–²/â–¼ to select CTCSS codes for privacy. Confirm with PTT or MENU.

Transmit and Receive: Press and hold PTT to transmit while speaking into the microphone. Release PTT to receive.

Monitor: Hold MONITOR/SCAN button for 3 seconds to monitor channel activity.

Scan: Quickly press SCAN button to start scanning channels for activity.

Troubleshooting and error codes

PROBLEM SOLUTION
No Power - Check battery installation and/or replace batteries.
Cannot Receive Messages - Confirm the radios have the same channel settings.
- Make sure that you are within range of the other transceivers.
- Buildings and other structures may interfere with your communication.
Radio is not responding to button presses - Make sure key lock is not on (See Keypad Lock, Page 9).
- Radio might need to be reset. Turn radio off then on.
Display is dim - Recharge or replace batteries.
Charging not functioning (Model T31 only) - Ensure the USB Jack where the USB Cable is plugged in is functioning properly.
- Check that the batteries are installed in the radio properly.
