Measuring DC Voltage

  • Connect black lead to "COM" and red lead to "VΩmA".
  • Set range switch to desired V range.
  • Connect test leads across the source.
  • Read display.

Measuring AC Voltage

  • Connect black lead to "COM" and red lead to "VΩmA".
  • Set range switch to desired V range.
  • Connect test leads across the source.
  • Read display.

Measuring DC Current

  • Connect black lead to "COM". Connect red lead to "VΩmA" (<200mA) or "10A" (200mA-10A).
  • Set range switch to desired A range.
  • Turn off circuit power, break circuit, connect in series.
  • Turn on power.
  • Read display.

Measuring Resistance

  • Connect black lead to "COM" and red lead to "VΩmA".
  • Set range switch to desired Ω range.
  • Connect test leads to the object.
  • Read display.

Continuity Test

  • Connect black lead to "COM" and red lead to "VΩmA".
  • Set range switch to continuity mode.
  • Connect test leads across the circuit.
  • Check for buzzer.

Diode Test

  • Connect black lead to "COM" and red lead to "VΩmA".
  • Set range switch to diode mode.
  • Connect leads to diode (red to anode, black to cathode).
  • Read display.

Battery Test

  • Connect black lead to "COM" and red lead to "VΩmA".
  • Set range switch to BATT position.
  • Connect test leads to battery.
  • Read display.
