Cooling Operation:

  • Single Stage: Blower and compressor start when thermostat calls for cooling.
  • Two Stage: 1st stage cooling operates at 70% airflow, 2nd stage at 100% airflow.

Heating Operation (Electric Heat Only):

  • Heater sequencer energizes, followed by heating elements and blower motor after a time delay.
  • Units with second sequencer can be connected for staged heating.

Heating Operation (Heat Pump):

  • Compressor and blower motor start when thermostat calls for heat.
  • Supplemental electric heat engages if room temperature continues to fall.
  • Emergency heat mode locks out heat pump, using only electric heat.
