Time Delay Relay: Features a 1-second motor-on delay upon cooling demand initiation, followed by a ramp-up to 100% speed. After demand is met, the motor continues at 100% for 45 seconds before ramping down to stop.

Cooling Operation: When cooling is requested, the thermostat activates the blower time-delay relay, energizing the indoor blower motor. Simultaneously, the circuit to the outdoor unit's contactor is completed, starting the compressor and outdoor fan motor. For heat pumps, the reversing valve is also energized to switch to cooling mode and remains active as long as cooling is needed. Upon completion, both indoor and outdoor units cycle off, with the air handler continuing for an additional 45 seconds.
