Getting Started:

  1. Load Batteries: Insert four 1.5V alkaline-manganese (LR44) batteries into the battery chamber.
  2. Check Batteries: Press the battery check button. A red LED indicates sufficient power.
  3. Attach Film Back: Align and secure the film back to the camera body.
  4. Load Film: Open the back cover, insert the film spool, draw out the film leader, and secure it to the take-up spool.
  5. Advance Film: Rotate the film winding crank until the first frame is ready.
  6. Interchange Lenses: Cock the shutter, align lens and body dots, insert and rotate lens until it clicks.
  7. Set Shutter Speed & Aperture: Use the dials on the lens and camera.
  8. Focus: Rotate the focusing ring while observing the image in the viewfinder.

Troubleshooting and error codes

Problem Cause Solution
Shutter will not release 1. Shutter release button is locked. Unlock the shutter release button.
2. Dark slide is inserted. Remove the dark slide.
3. Film is not advanced. Advance the film until the exposure counter shows "1".
4. Shutter is not cocked. Cock the shutter by rotating the film winding crank.
5. Lens is not attached properly. Ensure the lens is correctly attached.
6. Lens release button is depressed. Release the lens release button.
7. All frames have been exposed. Load new film.
Under-exposure during slow shutter speed Film winding crank accidentally rotated before exposure is completed. Ensure the film winding crank is not moved during slow exposures.
Inaccurate focusing Trimming masks or tapes on the focusing screen. Remove any obstructions from the focusing screen.
Camera not operating Incorrect battery usage or depleted batteries. Ensure correct battery type and charge.
