Cleaning the interior
Before first use, wash the interior with lukewarm water and neutral soap. Do not use detergents or abrasive powders.
Operation
Insert the plug and turn the thermostat knob clockwise beyond "O" (STOP) to start.
Temperature regulation
The temperature is automatically regulated. Adjust the thermostat knob towards lower settings for warmer temperatures and higher settings for colder temperatures. The ideal setting depends on room temperature, door opening frequency, food quantity, and appliance location. A medium setting is generally suitable.
Fresh food refrigeration
Do not store warm food. Cover or wrap food, especially strong-flavoured items. Ensure air circulation around food.
Freezing fresh food
The 4-star compartment is suitable for freezing fresh food. For quicker freezing, set the thermostat to the coldest setting, but be aware this may lower the refrigerator compartment temperature below 0°C. Do not freeze carbonated liquids.
Storage of frozen food
Before storing, let the appliance run for at least two hours on the coldest setting, then set to normal operation. For large quantities, remove drawers and place food on shelves. Do not exceed load limits.
Thawing
Thaw deep-frozen or frozen food in the refrigerator compartment or at room temperature. Small pieces can be cooked directly from frozen.
Ice-cube production
Fill ice-cube trays with water and place in the freezer compartment. Do not use metallic instruments to remove trays.
Movable shelves
Shelves can be positioned as desired on runners.
Positioning the door shelves
Door shelves can be adjusted to different heights by pulling them in the direction of the arrows.
