Preparing for the update: Ensure you have a compatible Windows or Mac computer with the specified OS, CPU, HDD, and an Ethernet connector. Download the latest Dante firmware update program from the Yamaha website.

Update procedure sequence:
1. Install the Dante Firmware Update Manager.
2. Configure your computer's TCP/IP settings for Dante.
3. Update the Dante firmware using the manager.

Updating the Dante firmware: Connect the HY144-D to your computer via Ethernet, power on the device, and run the Dante Firmware Update Manager as administrator. Select the correct interface, browse for the firmware file, and initiate the update.

Failsafe Mode Recovery: If the Dante module becomes unusable, it may enter failsafe mode. To recover, connect the HY144-D directly to your computer, run the Dante Firmware Update Manager in administrator mode, and select "Failsafe Recovery." Follow the on-screen prompts to load a recovery image and then re-update the firmware.

Important Notes: Always update one component at a time. Do not turn off power or disconnect cables during the update. Ensure the firmware file path contains only single-byte alphanumeric characters, hyphens, or underscores. Check firewall settings if the update manager is blocked.
