The programmer allows setting cooking duration, end time, time of day, and minute minder up to 23 hours 59 minutes. It enables automatic cooking for delayed start and end times, or semi-automatic operation for a set duration or end time. To set any function, press the corresponding button and use the plus/minus buttons to adjust the time. The display reverts to the time of day after a short period of inactivity or once a program is set.
This feature allows meals to be cooked while you are out, ready for your return. Set the "READY TIME" as close as possible to your return time. Use fresh, cold ingredients and ensure meats are fully thawed. Cover dishes to retain moisture and prevent contamination. Avoid using for leftover cooked food, dishes with eggs, rice, seafood, or placing food into a warm oven. Ensure liquids are not overfilled to prevent boiling over.
The fan oven cooks food at a lower temperature than conventional ovens. A conversion chart is provided for guidance. The fan ensures even temperature distribution, making it ideal for batch baking. Ensure shelves are positioned evenly and maintain clearance from the oven roof and base. Avoid placing items on the oven base. There is no transference of flavor between different foods.
Turn the top oven selector to the grill setting and then turn the grill control on. The door must be open when using the grill. Be cautious as accessible parts can be hot. Never cover the grill pan with foil or allow fat to build up, as this creates a fire hazard.
The top oven can be used with bottom heat only (for pastry bases, pies) or top heat only (for browning). Temperatures may need to be reduced by up to 20°C compared to recipes. There are 4 shelf positions. Always preheat the top oven for 15 minutes before cooking.
