Warranty Information

This warranty covers defects in material or workmanship for one year from the date of purchase.

  • Powering On/Off: Press and hold the Power button for 3 seconds to turn the camcorder on or off. It will also auto-power off after 60 seconds of inactivity or low battery.
  • Video Mode: Press OK/Shutter to start recording. An infrared indicator appears in low light. Videos are saved as AVI files.
  • Camera Mode: Press UP to enter Camera Mode. Press OK/Shutter to capture photos.
  • Playback Mode: Press UP to enter Playback Mode. Use Right/Left to select files, OK/Shutter to play/view. Press DOWN to delete or format.
  • TV Out: Connect to a TV using the supplied cable to view videos on the TV screen. Ensure PAL/NTSC settings match.
  • Software Installation: Insert the CD and follow on-screen instructions. Requires internet connection for installation.
  • Transferring Files: Connect via USB. Use the Vivitar Experience Image Manager software or manually transfer files by opening folders like DCIM.

Troubleshooting and error codes

Power does not turn on. 1. Battery inserted in the wrong direction.
2. Battery has insufficient power.		 1. Reload battery in the correct direction.
2. Replace or recharge the battery.
Camcorder does not take pictures. 1. Memory is full.
2. Memory card not formatted correctly.		 1. Insert a new memory card.
2. Format the memory card or use a new card.
Image is blurry or out of focus. Video camcorder was moving when the image was captured. Hold the video camcorder steady when shooting.
Images were deleted by mistake. Can I retrieve them? Photos were deleted by mistake and removed from the computer. All deleted images can be found and retrieved from the Recycle or Trash Bin.
Recorded images are not saved in memory. Video camcorder was turned off before the images are saved. If the battery low indicator appears, replace the batteries immediately.
