Basic Operation Summary:

Powering On/Off:

The camcorder turns on when the LCD monitor is opened and off when it is closed. It can also be manually switched on/off using the power button. In Diving Mode, it stays on even when the LCD monitor is closed.

Recording Videos:

Select Video Mode using the MODE button. Press the record button to start and stop recording. Settings like zoom, white balance, LED light, exposure, and macro mode can be adjusted.

Taking Pictures:

Select Photo Mode using the MODE button. Press the record button to take a photo. Settings like zoom, white balance, LED light, exposure, and macro mode can be adjusted.

Playback:

Select Playback Mode using the playback button. Navigate through videos or photos using the navigation buttons. Playback can be controlled with fast forward, rewind, pause, and volume adjustments.

Connecting to Devices:

The camcorder can be connected to a TV via AV or HDMI cable, or to a PC using a USB/AV cable for viewing and data transfer.

Troubleshooting and error codes

Fault Possible cause Solution
The camcorder cannot be switched on. The battery is not correctly inserted. The battery is empty. Insert the battery correctly. Charge the battery.
The camcorder suddenly switches off. The Auto Power Off function is activated. The battery in the camcorder is empty. Switch the device on again. Change the battery.
The recorded image was not saved. The power supply failed before the image was saved. Replace the battery immediately when the battery LED lights up red.
The camcorder switches off while a photo is being recorded with the self-timer. The battery in the camera is empty. Change the battery.
The image is out of focus. The motif was not in the area of focus. Take a photo in the available area of focus and select either Normal or Macro Mode.
It is not possible to use the memory card. The memory card is write-protected. The memory card contains non-DCF images from other camcorders. Remove the write protection on the memory card. Format the memory card. Save the data elsewhere before you format the memory card.
None of the buttons work. There was a short circuit when the camera was connected to another device. Remove the battery from the camera and replace it once more.
