Warranty Information

The warranty covers material and manufacturing defects for 3 years from purchase, excluding transport damage and misuse.

Initial Operation:

  1. Place the DVD player on a flat, stable surface.
  2. Connect the DVD player to a television using the appropriate cables (Scart, HDMI, Composite Video, S-Video, Component Video).
  3. Connect the audio outputs to a HiFi system if desired.
  4. Insert batteries into the remote control.
  5. Plug the power cable into a mains socket and switch the power to ON.
  6. Press the STANDBY button on the remote control or device to turn it on.
  7. Insert a disc into the tray and press OPEN/CLOSE to close it.
  8. Playback will begin automatically or after selecting the desired option from a menu.

Playback Features:

  • Pause, stop, and resume playback.
  • Skip chapters or titles using SKIP FWD/BWD or number buttons.
  • Access the DVD menu (if available) to select subtitles, audio languages, or bonus features.
  • Zoom in on the image or change camera angles.
  • Use the PROG button for programmed playback of selected chapters.
  • Superimpose disc information (title, chapter, time) by pressing DISPLAY.
  • Set repeat functions for titles, chapters, or the entire disc.
  • Adjust volume and mute sound.

Settings: Use the OSD menu (SETUP button) to configure TV display, audio, Dolby, video, and preference settings.

Troubleshooting and error codes

Problem Possible Cause/Solution
Display is blank/DVD player shows no functions even though it is switched on A Check power cable insertion. B Ensure power socket is live. C Check display dimmer function. D Switch power off and on.
The display shows "No Disc" even though there is a disc inserted A Clean or insert another disc. B Country/Region code mismatch.
Inserted disc will not playback A Allow device to acclimatize to room temperature to prevent condensation on the laser lens.
No image or Black/White image only A Check all connection cables. B Ensure OSD menu settings match connection variant. C Check TV settings.
No sound A Check mute settings on TV/DVD player. B Check audio connection cables. C Ensure OSD menu settings match audio connection. D Check TV settings. E Check audio component settings. F Check FRONT SPEAKER setting (LARGE) in OSD menu if using stereo or Pro Logic compatible audio component.
No 4:3 or 16:9 image A Check TV's image format capabilities. B Ensure OSD menu settings match TV's available image format.
Remote control not functioning A Check battery insertion and polarity. B Replace batteries if exhausted. C Ensure no obstacles between remote and DVD player. D Maintain a distance of within five meters.
Playback language/Subtitle language do not correspond to the settings in the OSD menu The selected language is not available on the inserted disc.
One or several functions can not be switched on The selected function may not be available on the inserted disc.
None of the buttons on the device or on the remote control are functioning/other malfunctions A Switch DVD player off and on again. B Reset DVD player to default settings (see Setup menu PREFERENCE). C Contact service partner.
