SIGNATURE KITCHEN SUITE offers a three-year limited warranty on parts and labor for original retail purchasers in the USA.
An induction coil beneath the ceramic glass cooking surface generates magnetic fields, which act directly on the base of pots and pans. Instead of heating the ceramic glass, this method heats the base of the pan immediately, saving time and energy. Since the heat required for cooking is generated directly in the base of the pan, the cooking zone itself warms up only slightly. The cooktop does become hot when heat is transferred from the cookware.
Use cookware identified as "induction ready" or "induction capable." The base material must be magnetic. Use high-quality, heavy gauge steel cookware. Flat-bottomed pans are essential. Check for flatness by rotating a ruler across the bottom. Ensure cookware is centered and rests completely on the cooking zone.
The control panel features Power (ON/OFF), Pause, Clean Lock, Settings, and Kitchen Timer. Cooking zones are controlled via the cooktop control (6), allowing power level adjustment from 1 to 9.
| Problem | Possible Cause & Solution |
| Cooktop does not work | Cooktop controls are locked (See Clean Lock). Circuit breaker tripped or fuse blown. Power outage. Installation wiring not complete. |
| Cooktop does not heat | Incorrect cooking zone selected. No power to cooktop. Cookware is not compatible (not IH marked). Cookware is not flat or correct size. |
| Elements turn off while cooking. | Cooktop inner temperature is too high (check installation). |
| Elements do not get hot enough. | Control panel not set properly. Cookware not IH compatible. Cookware not flat or correct size. |
| A fan sound can be heard. | Cooktop inner temperature is high (normal). |
| Noises are heard during cooking. | Humming/buzzing sound (normal, especially at high power). Whistling sound (lighter cookware or empty). Cracking sound (composite cookware, normal). Clicking sound (electrical switches, normal below power level 6). Ticking sound (cookware detection). |
| Boost function deactivated or cannot be activated. | If right-side elements are on with center dual element on Boost, power is reduced to 9. Use left elements instead. Boost reverts to power level 9 after 6 minutes. |
| Cookware cannot be detected automatically. | No cookware on burner. Cookware not compatible. |
| Cookware has been damaged. | Cookware is overheated (do not preheat empty or heat oil on Boost). |
| Output power different. | Cooktop is overheated; power level is automatically controlled. |
| Power cycling | Normal operation; heating element cycles on/off. |
| LCD screen does not work properly. | Hot cookware placed on top of LCD screen. |
| Timer does not turn off cooking zone. | Normal; kitchen timer acts as a simple timer. |
| Hot surface indicator stays on after burners are turned off. | Normal; remains on until the surface cools down. |
| Error code FC, F1, or F5. | Electronic control fault. Turn power off and on. If recurring, call for service. |
| Trouble connecting appliance and smartphone to Wi-Fi network. | Incorrect Wi-Fi password. Mobile data on smartphone is on. Incorrect wireless network name (SSID). Router frequency not 2.4 GHz. Appliance and router too far apart. Incorrect password entry during Wi-Fi setup. |
