1. Select a programme: Switches the washing machine on/off. Can be rotated in either direction. The programme selector does not rotate while the programme is running; the programme sequence is electronically controlled. 2. Indicator lights: Indicate programme selection (On), active status (Active), programme completion (End), or operation errors (flashing). 3. Set the spin speed: Variable; must click into place at Ø. 4. Press buttons for additional options: Options include reduced programme duration (☃) or an extra rinse cycle (☂). Additional options can be combined before starting the programme. 5. Press the Start button: Starts the washing process after a programme has been selected. Before First Use: Run an empty cycle with detergent and water to remove any residual testing water. Preparing Laundry: Empty pockets, brush out sand, close zippers, tie up curtains, and wash small/delicate items in a net bag. Turn trousers and knitwear inside out. Sorting Laundry: Sort by colour (whites separate from colours) and degree of dirt (slight, normal, intensive). Loading Laundry: Unfold and place items loosely, mixing large and small items. Do not exceed the recommended load. Detergents and Additives: Dispense correctly based on water hardness, laundry amount, and soiling. Too little leads to poor cleaning; too much causes excessive foam.
