Warranty Information

This liability warranty is valid for the service life of the appliance.

Your Siemens washing machine
Your washing machine is distinguished by its economical consumption of energy, water and detergent. It is checked carefully to ensure it functions properly.
General safety instructions
Your washing machine is intended for household use only, with washable textiles, cold drinking water, and commercially available detergents. Keep children and pets away, and do not operate with wet hands or pull the plug by the cable.
Introducing your washing machine
Familiarize yourself with the detergent dispenser compartments (I for prewash/starch, II for main wash/soaking agent/water softener/bleach/stain remover, and 8 for cleaning product/fabric softener).
Control panel
Use the "on/off" button to switch the machine on/off. The display panel shows settings and the programme sequence. Use buttons on the display panel to select programmes and options. The "start/stop" button begins or interrupts the washing process.
Before using your washing machine for the first time
Install and connect the machine, then select the language and set the time. Run the machine empty with detergent and water to remove residual test water.
Preparing and sorting the washing
Empty pockets, close zips, use nets for small items or delicates, and turn knitwear inside out. Sort washing by colour, degree of soiling, and care label instructions.
Detergents and cleaning products
Dose detergent according to water hardness, detergent manufacturer's specifications, load, and soiling degree. Use appropriate dispensers for prewash, main wash, and fabric softener.
Programmes and functions
Select from various programmes like Cottons/coloureds, Easy-care, Delicates, Woollens, Outdoor wear, Silk, Mix, and Coloureds eco, each with specific temperature ranges, loads, and selectable options. Additional programmes include Rinse, Spin, and Drain.
Additional options - Extras
Enhance programmes with options like Prewash, Stains, Rinse Plus, No final spin, and Anticrease.
Detection and control systems
The load sensor, dosing recommendation, Aqua-Sensor, Load adjust, and Unbalanced load detection system optimize washing performance and efficiency.
Washing
Open the door, switch on the machine, select a programme, insert washing, close the door, and press start/stop. Remove laundry promptly when the programme ends.
Fault displays
Troubleshoot common issues indicated on the display panel, such as tap closed, pump blocked, or door open. Refer to the manual for remedial actions or contact customer service.

Troubleshooting and error codes

Fault Possible cause Remedial action
Spin cycle actuated several times. Not a fault. Unbalanced load detection system is attempting to compensate the imbalance by spinning the washing several times. Always wash large and small items together.
The washing has not been spun correctly. Large laundry items have become entangled and are not evenly distributed in the drum. For safety reasons the high-speed spin cycle was automatically reduced. Always wash large and small items together.
Programme duration extended. Not a fault. Aqua sensor has extended the rinse cycle. -
Programme duration extended. Not a fault. Foam detection system has actuated an additional rinse cycle in order to dissipate the foam. Adjust the detergent dosage for the next wash cycle.
Washing result not satisfactory. Not a fault. Unbalanced load detection system is attempting to compensate the imbalance by spinning the washing several times. Always wash large and small items together.
Washing result not satisfactory. Soiling is greater than expected. Select a suitable programme or "Stains" or "Prewash" additional option.
Detergent residue on the washing. Detergent was underdosed. Dose detergent according to the manufacturer's instructions.
Detergent residue on the washing. Some phosphate-free detergents contain water-insoluble residue which may appear as light stains on the washing. Select "Rinse" immediately or brush the washing after the drying cycle.
Grey residue on the washing. Soiling caused by ointment, grease or oil. Select maximum detergent dosage and maximum permitted temperature for the next wash cycle.
Unexpected programme termination. "on/off" button inadvertently pressed. Restart programme.
