Operating Your Dryer

Before Drying:

  1. Open the door.
  2. Place laundry in the drum.
  3. Close the door.
  4. Select a programme using the programme selector.
  5. Set additional functions if required.
  6. Press the Start/Stop button.

Inserting/Removing Laundry During a Cycle:

  1. Open the door (the cycle halts).
  2. Add or remove laundry.
  3. Close the door.
  4. Select another programme if necessary.
  5. Set additional functions if required.
  6. Press the Start/Stop button.

After Drying:

  1. Open the door.
  2. Remove laundry.
  3. Turn the programme selector to Off.
  4. Clean the filter.
  5. Empty the water container.

Troubleshooting and error codes

Problem Possible Cause Remedy
Dryer does not start. The appliance is not plugged in. Plug in the appliance.
The Start/Stop button has not been pressed. Press the Start/Stop button.
Power failure. Check the fuse/circuit breaker.
The programme selector is not set correctly. Set the programme selector.
Door is not closed properly. Close the door.
Child safety lock is engaged. Release the child safety lock (press and hold Start/Stop for 4 seconds).
The laundry is not dry or not dry enough. The programme or setting is incorrect. Select a more intensive programme or a higher level of dryness.
Laundry load is too large. Reduce the laundry load.
The fluff filter is blocked. Clean the fluff filter.
The condenser unit is dirty. Clean the condenser unit.
The water container is full. Empty the water container.
The drying time was too short. Select a longer drying time or a programme with a longer duration.
The laundry is too creased. The laundry has been over-dried. Select a programme with a lower drying level or use the "Iron dry" setting. Remove laundry promptly.
The laundry has been left in the dryer for too long after the programme has ended. Use the Anti-crease function. Remove laundry promptly.
The laundry was not spun sufficiently. Increase the spin speed of the washing machine.
The dryer makes noises. Foreign objects in the drum. Remove foreign objects.
The dryer is not standing level. Adjust the feet.
The woollens basket is not fitted correctly. Fit the woollens basket correctly.
Water is leaking. The water container is not inserted correctly. Insert the water container correctly.
The fluff filter is not inserted correctly. Insert the fluff filter correctly.
The condenser unit is not inserted correctly. Insert the condenser unit correctly.
The indicator lamps are flashing. A fault has occurred. Switch off the dryer and wait for 1 minute. Then switch it on again. If the fault persists, contact customer service.
