Defect Cause and troubleshooting
The appliance does not refrigerate, displays and lighting are on. The appliance is in display mode. Press and hold the temperature setting button (refrigerator) for 9 to 11 seconds until a signal tone is emitted.
The LED lighting does not function. Various causes are possible. Call the after-sales service. The after-sales service number can be found in the list of after-sales service contacts.
The side panels of the appliance are hot. This is not a defect. The side panels contain pipes that heat up during the cooling process. The heat does not damage furniture that touches the appliance. No action necessary.
Alarm flashes and a siren sounds. Various causes are possible. Press the temperature setting button (freezer). The alarm switches off. The appliance door is open. Close the appliance door. The external ventilation openings are covered. Remove obstacles in front of the external ventilation openings. Large quantities of fresh food have been stored. Do not exceed the freezing capacity. The set temperature is not reached. The freezer compartment door has been left open for a long time. The evaporator (NoFrost system) is heavily iced up. Condition: Frozen foods are stored in a cool place and are well insulated. 1. Switch off the appliance. 2. Disconnect the appliance from the mains. Remove the mains plug from the power cord or deactivate the fuse in the fuse box. 3. Move the appliance away from the wall. 4. Leave the appliance door open. After about 20 minutes, defrost water will start to drip into the evaporation tray at the back of the appliance. To prevent the evaporation tray from overflowing in this case, collect this water with a sponge. The evaporator is defrosted when no more defrost water drips into the evaporation tray. 6. Clean the inside of the appliance. 7. Switch on the appliance. The automatic defrosting no longer functions. Various causes are possible. 1. Switch off the appliance. 2. Switch on the appliance again after approx. 5 minutes. If the temperature is too high, check it again after a few hours. If the temperature is too low, check it again the following day. Condensation forms on the surface of the appliance and on the shelves inside the appliance. The water contained in the warm, humid air condenses on the colder surfaces of the appliance. 1. Wipe away the water with a dry, soft cloth. 2. Open the appliance as briefly as possible. 3. Ensure that the appliance is always closed correctly.
The appliance hums, makes bubbles, buzzing, humming, clicking, or clacking noises. This is not a defect. The motor is running, e.g., the compressor, fan. The refrigerant circulates in the pipes. The motor, switches, or solenoid valves switch on or off. Automatic defrosting takes place. No action necessary.
The appliance makes noises. The appliance is not level. Level the appliance with a spirit level and the adjustable feet. The appliance is not freestanding. Observe the minimum clearances for the appliance. Equipment parts are loose or jammed. Check the removable equipment parts and refit them correctly if necessary. Bottles or containers are touching each other. Move the bottles or containers away from each other. Super-freezing is activated. No action necessary.
