Safety and Warning Instructions

Before putting the appliance into operation

Read the operating and installation instructions carefully! They contain important information about installation, use and maintenance of the appliance.

Keep all documents for future use or for the next owner.

Technical Safety

Warning

• The appliance contains a small amount of the environmentally friendly but flammable refrigerant R600a.
• Ensure that the pipes of the refrigerant circuit are not damaged during transport or installation.
• Escaping refrigerant can cause eye injuries or ignite.

In case of damage

• Keep open flames or ignition sources away from the appliance.
• Switch off the appliance and pull out the mains plug.
• Ventilate the room well for a few minutes.
• Notify customer service.

The larger the room in which the appliance is located, the more refrigerant it contains. In rooms that are too small, a flammable gas-air mixture can form in the event of a leak.

For every 8 g of refrigerant, the room must be at least 1 m³ in size. The amount of refrigerant in your appliance is stated on the rating plate inside the appliance.

• Replacing the mains connection cable and other repairs may only be carried out by customer service. Improper installations and repairs can pose a significant risk to the user.
• Only original manufacturer's parts may be used. Only with these parts does the manufacturer guarantee that they meet the safety requirements.

During Use

• Never use electrical appliances inside the appliance (e.g. heaters, electric ice makers, etc.). Risk of explosion!
• Never defrost or clean the appliance with a steam cleaner! The steam can reach electrical parts and cause a short circuit or electric shock.
• Do not store products with flammable propellants (e.g. spray cans) or explosive substances. Risk of explosion!
• Do not misuse the plinth, drawers, doors, etc. as a foothold or for support.
• Pull out the mains plug or switch off the fuse for cleaning. Pull the mains plug, not the connection cable.
• Store high-proof alcohol only tightly sealed and upright.
• Do not contaminate plastic parts and door seals with oil or grease. Plastic parts and door seals will become porous.
• Never cover or obstruct the ventilation openings of the appliance.
• This appliance is to be used by persons with restricted physical, sensory or psychological capabilities or with a lack of knowledge only under supervision or with detailed instructions.
• Do not store liquids in bottles and cans in the freezer compartment (especially carbonated drinks). Bottles and cans can burst!
• Do not immediately put ice lollies and ice cubes in your mouth from the freezer compartment. Risk of frostbite due to very low temperature!
• Do not touch frozen food with wet hands. Your hands can freeze to it. Risk of injury!
