Basic Operation of the C1x Mobile Phone

Troubleshooting and error codes

Problem Possible Cause Solution
Phone does not turn on. Battery discharged. Charge the battery (see Section 7.4 Deep Discharge).
Charging does not start. Battery deeply discharged. Perform trickle charge for approx. 1 hour, then reconnect charger. If deeply discharged, trickle charge may need up to 24 hours.
Phone is disabled (e.g., wrong phone code entry). Incorrect unblocking code entered. Contact the Siemens Hotline or use the internet solution to retrieve the correct unblocking code using the IMEI number.
Overvoltage condition. Supply voltage above 6.2V (battery) or 7V (potential destruction). Charging current above 1A. Ensure correct voltage and current. If voltage exceeds 7V or polarity is wrong, the phone can be destroyed. Charging current must be limited to below 1A.
