The numerical Distance Protection SIPROTECĀ® 7SA522 is equipped with a powerful 32 Bit microprocessor, enabling full numerical processing from measured value acquisition to command output to circuit breakers. The device features analog inputs for measuring currents and voltages, which are transformed and matched to internal signal levels. It includes 4 current inputs (3 for phase currents, 1 configurable for earth current or other measurements) and 4 voltage inputs (3 for phase-earth voltages, 1 optional for displacement or other voltages). These signals are processed by input amplifier groups.
The device can be operated via an operator control panel on the device or through the DIGSIĀ® 4 software. It supports various communication interfaces for connection to PCs, modems, and SCADA systems.
