Caution: The unit uses PSRAM which requires a standby current 20 times greater than SRAM. Power supply to PSRAM is halted during shipment setting.

Important: Do not leave the backup battery without treatment during servicing.

Data Saving: Before disassembling, diagnostic, or rewriting flash EEPROM, save user data. After servicing, set the clock and return to user.

Shipment Setting: Select "40 DISABLE BACKUP BATTERY" to cut power to VRAM.

Resetting the HC-4000/4100: Press the RESET button with the stylus if the unit stops responding. A full reset procedure is available if the problem persists, but will erase all data.

Battery Replacement: The unit warns when batteries are low. Replace main batteries promptly. If main batteries are depleted, backup battery drains faster and data loss can occur. Replace backup battery first if both low warnings appear.

Caution: Keep batteries away from children. Use only specified battery types to avoid explosion risk. Do not disassemble or dispose of batteries in fire.
