| Phone does not turn on. | Are you holding the Power key down? Continue pressing the Power key until the logo is displayed. Is the phone charged? Recharge the phone if not charged. |
| Phone turns off/does not turn on. | If you continue using your phone while it is warm, a caution is displayed and your phone turns off in 3 minutes. Exit any apps and turn off the screen to let the phone cool down. |
| Phone freezes/operation is unstable. | If your phone freezes or you cannot operate it, you can force your phone to turn off. Press and hold the Power key for 8 seconds or more. Release the Power key once your phone vibrates. Your phone turns off. |
| Operation is unstable after a new application was installed. | The newly installed application may be the cause. Uninstall the application. See Uninstall an App. |
| Phone starts operating on its own without touching the screen/phone does not respond to screen touch. | Press the Power key to turn off the screen, and then press again to turn the screen on before using the phone. |
| Cannot use phone, mail, or Internet. | Answer 1: Check whether you are where signal is weak or out of service area. Answer 2: Power the phone on again. Answer 3: Is the phone in Airplane mode? To check that Airplane mode is cancelled: From home, touch ... > Settings > More... > Airplane mode. Answer 4: Is data communication disabled? To check that data communication is enabled: From home, touch ... > Settings > More... > Mobile networks > Data enabled. |
| Battery level goes down quickly. | Are you where signal is weak or have been out of service area for a long period? Calling where signal is weak or being out of service area uses a lot of battery. Your phone's usable time is decreased by frequently using flash or functions/operations that emit sound, frequently using data communication, etc. with external devices, increasing the screen brightness, or setting long times for the screen, etc. to remain lit. |
| Cannot install applications. | Applications cannot be installed with only a little free space on the phone or SD card. To check free space, see Storage Settings. Applications not supported by your phone cannot be installed. |
| Screen dims quickly. | The screen automatically dims when the phone becomes warm. The screen returns to its original brightness once the phone cools down. |

| Cannot charge/charging takes time. | Is the micro USB plug on the AC adapter connected firmly to the phone? Remove the micro USB plug and connect it again. Is the AC adapter plugged in firmly to a standard electrical outlet? Unplug the AC adapter and plug it in again firmly. Are you using a non-specified AC adapter? Always use a specified AC adapter. Using a non-specified AC adapter not only prevents charging, but may also affect the internal battery. Is the LED blinking? The internal battery is not being charged. Use a specified AC adapter to recharge. Is the micro USB plug on the AC adapter soiled? Clean the terminals with a clean, dry swab and recharge again. Are you recharging by USB? Recharging by USB takes longer than with the AC adapter. You may also not be able to recharge depending on the connection environment. |
| Recharging stops/recharging does not start. | Recharging stops automatically if the phone becomes warm. Recharging starts again once the phone cools down. |
| SIM card is not recognized. | Is the SIM card installed properly? Is it installed in the right location and orientation? Turn off your phone, check whether the SIM card is installed properly, and then turn your phone on again. If this does not remedy the problem, the SIM card may be damaged. Are there any fingerprints, etc. or other soiling on the (gold) IC chip on the SIM card? Remove the SIM card, wipe with a clean, dry cloth, and install it again properly. Is the wrong SIM card installed? An unusable SIM card may be installed. Make sure that the right SIM card is installed. |
| Cannot recharge by USB. | Is the computer turned on? You cannot recharge if the computer is not turned on. Are you using a USB hub? You may not be able to recharge if using a USB hub. Connect the optional micro USB cable for PC directly to the computer. |
| Cannot make a call/calls do not connect. | Is the phone in Airplane mode? To check that Airplane mode is cancelled: From home, touch ... > Settings > More... > Airplane mode. Are you where signals can be received? Check the signal indicator while changing locations and call again. |
| Cannot hear the other party. | Is the call volume low? Touch the Volume Up key during a call to turn the call volume up. |
