1. **COOL Operation:** The thermostat controls the compressor and outdoor fan based on thermostat lines C1-C4. The compressor turns on/off at lines C3 and C4. 2. **DRY Operation:** The thermostat controls the compressor and fan based on thermostat lines D1-D3. Operation starts for 2 minutes at fan speed "D". Room temperature measured after 2 minutes sets the preset temperature (18-32°C). 3. **Fan Only Operation:** The indoor fan motor runs continuously. 4. **Fan Speed:** Available speeds are HIGH, LOW, SOFT (UL), and MEDIUM (M) depending on the mode. 5. **Timer:** 24-hour programmable ON/OFF timer and a ONE-HOUR timer are available. 6. **Automatic Air Conditioning:** Mode and preset temperature are set automatically based on room temperature. 7. **Auto Restart:** Unit restarts in the same mode after power recovery. 8. **Diagnosis Procedure:** Specific LED timing patterns indicate faults like indoor fan motor issues, compressor lock, or thermistor problems.

Troubleshooting and error codes

Symptom Troubleshooting Step Possible Cause Action
Machine does not function at all with remote controller and switches on the indoor unit. Measure voltage between anodes of D1 and D2 on the PWB ass'y 1. Transformer secondary voltage (approx. 20.6 Vac) YES: Replace the PWB with a new one. NO: Check 2.5A fuse.
Machine does not function at all with remote controller and switches on the indoor unit. Check 2.5A fuse open circuit. Fuse open YES: Replace the fuse and varistor with new ones. NO: Replace the transformer with a new one.
Machine does not function at all with remote controller. Push "O/I" button on the wireless remote controller. Transmitting indicator active? NO: Check remote batteries. YES: Check beep sound from indoor unit.
Machine does not function at all with remote controller. Check beep sound from the indoor unit. Connector CN103 in place? NO: Connect the connector properly. YES: Check indicator lamp of indoor unit.
Machine does not function at all with remote controller. Check indicator lamp of indoor unit. Lamp proper? YES: PWB is normal. Inspect outdoor unit. NO: Replace PWB with a new one.
The room is not cooled. The compressor does not operate. Push "TEST" button on indoor unit, wait 3 minutes. Measure voltage at terminal board (N and 1). Power supply voltage YES: Measure resistances of TH1 and TH2. NO: Replace PWB ass'y with a new one.
The room is not cooled. The compressor does not operate. Measure resistances of TH1 and TH2. Resistances correct (Fig. 1)? YES: Control circuit normal. Check compressor, running capacitor, refrigerant, outdoor fan motor, and its capacitor. NO: Replace thermistor ass'y with a new one.
