1. Safety Instructions

Before use, inspect the drum handler for damage and worn components. Use only on firm, level, unobstructed concrete surfaces. Do not overload (max capacity 360kg). Do not ride on the handler. Replace or repair damaged parts with recommended parts only. Use a qualified person for lubrication and maintenance.

2. Introduction & Specification

Ideal for manoeuvring, relocating, and draining fully loaded drums (205ltr). Features lever handle for stage lifting, adjustable reach/leverage, and clamp height. Clips secure the drum. Drum can be manually adjusted to any angle, including end-over-end rotation for mixing. Fitted with two wheels and one castor. Weight: 50kg, Lifting Weight: 360Kg.

3. Assembly

Assemble mast to chassis, bolt handle to masts, and attach hangers to lifting arms on the handle. Refer to parts diagram for guidance.

4. Operation

  • Clamping Drum: Position hoop around drum, pull levers to release handle, position hoop, release levers to lock. Engage fastening lever with chain, pull clockwise until tight and locked. Check security.
  • Lifting Drum: Pull handle downwards. Release handle and levers to lock at desired height.
  • Transportation: Push or pull using handle. Steer by applying pressure left or right. Ensure path is clear and floor is suitable.
  • Lower & Release Drum: Apply downward pressure to handle to lower. Pull location levers simultaneously to release. Lower drum to a firm surface and release levers. Turn fastening lever clockwise to disengage pawl. Release fastening lever, remove chain. Pull handler away.
  • Rotate Drum: Rotate drum from vertical to horizontal by disengaging pins, turning through 90°, and re-engaging pins. Ensure sufficient ground clearance for rotation.
  • Adjustment: Adjust supporting hoop height by relocating hanger plate bolts to alternative holes on the lifting arm and hanger plates. Ensure same holes are chosen on both sides.

5. Maintenance

Regularly check chassis, wheels, castor, pawl, ratchet, connecting components (pins, nuts, washers) for wear and lubrication. Keep handle free from grease/oil.
