Operation

1. Connect the power supply after connecting all equipment. The power indicator (red LED) will illuminate to indicate power is on. The image will appear on the monitor.

2. Adjust the lens focus and angle based on the subject and installation location.

Notes:

  • Refer to corresponding instruction manuals for lenses.
  • Lens iris may not operate properly with some auto-iris lenses with AMP. Adjust lens sensitivity LEVEL if needed.
  • When using brighter lighting, pay attention to the lighting angle to avoid smear and blooming.

Re-adjusting Lens-Iris Level Sensitivity for Auto-Iris Lenses

  • LEVEL adjustment: Video signal level of Sanyo auto-iris lenses is factory preset. Adjustment is usually not necessary. Preset A.I. LENS selector switch to "DC".
  • Adjust lens iris LEVEL control only when absolutely necessary (e.g., extremely high/low contrast).
  • Monitor screen contrast adjustment:
    • To increase contrast: Turn LEVEL control clockwise (H direction).
    • To decrease contrast: Turn LEVEL control counterclockwise (L direction).
  • When using "VIDEO" type auto-iris lens with amplifier circuits, the unit's iris LEVEL cannot be controlled. Adjust the lens's LEVEL control.
  • Setting/adjusting should be performed by a qualified technician.
