Making and Receiving Calls

  • To answer a call: Press any key in standby mode.
  • To make a call: Press TALK/END, listen for dial tone, then dial the number. Press TALK/END again.
  • To hang up a call: Press TALK/END.
  • To redial last number: Press TALK/END, listen for dial tone, then press REDIAL.

AutoTalk and Auto Standby

AutoTalk: Answer a call by picking up the handset from the base.

Auto Standby: Hang up by returning the handset to the base.

Storing a Number in Memory

  1. Press MEMORY.
  2. Enter the phone number (up to 20 digits).
  3. Press MEMORY and a number (0-9) for the memory location.

Troubleshooting and error codes

Problem Suggestion
CHARGE/IN USE indicator won't come on when handset is placed in base. Make sure the AC adaptor is plugged in, handset is properly seated, battery pack is connected, and charging contacts are clean.
Weak and/or scratchy sound Ensure the base antenna is vertical. Check for interference from electronics. Move base away from appliances. Press SCAN for clearer reception.
Can't make or receive calls. Check telephone line cord. Ensure AC adaptor is plugged in. Disconnect and reconnect AC adaptor. Reset security code by placing handset on base. Battery pack may be weak; charge for 15 hours.
Handset doesn't ring or receive a page. Battery pack may be weak; charge for 15 hours. Handset may be too far from base. Place base away from appliances. Reset security code.
