Making and Receiving Calls:

  • Answer call: Press any key in standby mode.
  • Make call: Press TALK/END, listen for dial tone, dial number.
  • Hang up: Press TALK/END.
  • Redial last number: Press TALK/END, listen for dial tone, press REDIAL.

AutoTalk and Auto Standby:

Answer by picking up handset, hang up by returning handset to base.

Temporary Tone Dialing:

Press TONE to switch to tone dialing for special services.

Memory Functions:

Store numbers (up to 20 digits) in 10 memory locations. Dial by pressing TALK/END, MEMORY, and memory location number.

Mute:

Press MUTE during a call to turn off the microphone. Press MUTE or TALK/END to cancel.

Chain Dialing:

Store an access code, dial main number, press MEMORY and access code memory location.

Erasing/Replacing Numbers:

Follow on-screen prompts to erase or replace stored numbers.

Troubleshooting and error codes

Problem Suggestion
CHARGE/IN USE LED won't come on when handset is placed in base.
  • Make sure the AC adaptor is plugged into the base and wall outlet.
  • Make sure the handset is properly seated in the base.
  • Make sure the rechargeable battery pack is properly connected in the handset.
  • Make sure that the charging contacts on the handset and on the base are clean.
Weak and/or scratchy sound
  • Make sure that the base antenna is in the vertical position.
  • Interference by other electronics equipment such as TVs, computers, microwaves, fluorescent lighting, etc.
  • You may have gone too far from the base.
  • Press SCAN to search for clearer reception.
Can't make or receive calls.
  • Check both ends of the telephone line cord.
  • Make sure the AC adaptor is plugged into the base and a wall outlet.
  • Disconnect the AC adaptor for a few minutes, then reconnect it.
  • Reset the security code by placing the handset back on the base for a few seconds. The CHARGE/IN USE LED will blink indicating that the phone has been reset.
Handset doesn't ring or receive a page.
  • The Nickel-Cadmium battery pack may be weak. Charge the battery for a full 15 hours.
  • The handset may be too far away from the base.
  • Place the base away from appliances or metal objects.
  • Reset the security code by placing the handset back on the charging cradle for a few seconds. The CHARGE/IN USE LED will blink indicating that the phone has been reset.
