Basic connection for monitoring or recording

1. Make the video signal connection between the camera and the monitor or time lapse VCR. 2. Connect DC connecting cord from the AC adaptor to the 12 V DC IN terminal on the camera. 3. Insert the plug of this power cord into a wall outlet. The POWER indicator will light. Adjust the picture on the monitor using the Brightness and Contrast controls.

Lens iris adjustment

For DC type auto-iris lenses, adjust the LEVEL volume for contrast. L (counterclockwise) decreases contrast, H (clockwise) increases contrast. Use for shooting in dark rooms with bright windows, extreme backgrounds, or incorrect monitor brightness.

Backlight compensation setting

Use an auto-iris lens and set the BLC switch to ON to engage this function.

AGC setting

AGC can be turned ON (Auto gain control) or OFF (Fixed gain).

High speed electronic shutter setting

Set the speed setting switch to the desired position (0-7) for shutter speeds from 1/50 sec. to 1/10000 sec. The El/Al switch must be set to Al when using this function. Be mindful of lighting conditions indoors to avoid dark pictures or smear effects in bright light.
