Basic Operations

Playing a Disc:

  1. Press OPEN/CLOSE to open the disc tray.
  2. Place disc with label facing up.
  3. Press PLAY (►II) to start playback.
  4. Press STOP (■) to stop playback. Press again to resume or twice to stop completely.

Pausing Play:

  1. Press PLAY/PAUSE (►II) to pause. Press again to resume or twice to stop.

Removing Disc:

  1. Press OPEN/CLOSE to eject the disc.

VCR Operations:

  1. Insert VHS tape into VCR Deck.
  2. Press PLAY (►II) to play.
  3. Press STOP (■) to stop.
  4. Press EJECT (▲) to eject tape.
  5. Press REC (■) to begin recording.

Connections:

  • Connect Antenna cable to RF IN.
  • Connect RF OUT to TV Antenna IN for basic connection.
  • Use Video/Audio, S-Video, or Component cables for better quality connections to TV and Audio Systems.

Initial Setup:

  • Use the MENU button to access setup options like Language, Clock, Channel Memory, and Auto Power Off.
  • Follow on-screen prompts to configure settings.

Troubleshooting and error codes

Problem Possible Cause Solution
No power Power cord not plugged in. Plug in the power cord securely.
No picture or sound Incorrect input selected on TV. Press INPUT SELECT on TV remote.
No picture or sound Cables not connected properly. Check all cable connections.
Disc does not play Disc is dirty or damaged. Clean or replace the disc.
Disc does not play Disc region code does not match. Use a disc with the correct region code.
Remote control not working Batteries are dead or inserted incorrectly. Replace batteries or check polarity.
Remote control not working Obstruction between remote and sensor. Remove obstruction.
VCR tape not playing correctly Tracking issue. Use the Tracking function.
