| PROBLEM | POSSIBLE CAUSE | SOLUTION |
|---|---|---|
| Does not start. | The door is not completely closed. | Check if the door is closed and latched properly. |
| No cycle has been selected. | Select an appropriate cycle. | |
| The power cord is not connected. | Connect the power cord properly. | |
| The control panel is locked. | Unlock the child lock | |
| A circuit breaker is open. | Reset the circuit breaker. | |
| Takes too long for a normal operation or cycle. | Cold water is supplied. | Check if the water supply line is connected to a hot water supply. (Additional time is required to heat cold water.) |
| An inappropriate cycle has been selected. | Select a cycle according to the number and soil level of the dishes, as indicated in this manual. | |
| There are remaining food particles on the dishes. (Does not clean properly.) | Water temperature is low. | Connect the water supply line to a hot water supply. For best performance, the supplied water temperature should be 120 °F (49 °C). |
| Low water pressure. | Water pressure should be between 20-120 psi (140-830 kPa). | |
| The water is too hard. | Use fresh, high-quality detergent with rinse aid. | |
| Dishwasher detergent was not used. | Use dishwasher detergent. We recommend a powder or gel type dishwasher detergent. | |
| Detergent remains in the dispenser. | Ensure that large items such as cookie sheets, cutting boards, or containers, etc. are not blocking the detergent dispenser and allow it to open properly. Rearrange the dishes so they do not interfere with the detergent dispenser operation. | |
| No rinse aid. | Check the dispenser and add rinse aid. Use a liquid rinse aid type. | |
| A nozzle is clogged. | Clean the nozzle, refer to page 20. | |
| Dishes are loaded incorrectly. Too many dishes have been loaded. | Rearrange the dishes so they do not interfere with the nozzle rotation and the detergent dispenser. Load only an appropriate number of dishes. Load your dishes as recommended. (See page 14.) | |
| Glasses have an opaque film. | The supplied water is soft and too much detergent was used. | Load the dishwasher less and use a rinse aid to minimize this. |
| Aluminum dishes were included in the wash load. | Remove marks from dishes using a low-sensitivity cleaner. | |
| A yellow or brown film remains inside the dishwasher. | No rinse aid in the dispenser. | Remove stains with a spot cleaner. |
| The water temperature is low when the dishwasher is running. | Check the dispenser and add rinse aid. Use a liquid rinse aid. | |
| Dishes do not dry well. | Too many dishes have been loaded. | Connect the water supply line to a hot water supply. Use rinse aid with the Sanitize option. |
| Glasses and cups with a concave bottom hold water. This water may spill onto other items when unloading. | The proper loading of items can affect drying. Load your dishes as recommended. (See page 14.) | |
| Water remains from an incomplete cycle. | Once the cycle is finished, empty the first and then the upper rack. This prevents water from dripping from the top. Place the dishes in the lower rack. | |
| There is a bad odor. | The drain hose is obstructed. | Insert detergent without loading dishes, and run the Normal cycle to clean the dishwasher. |
| The dishwasher is not used daily or dirty dishes are left in the unit for a long time. | Contact a technician to remove any obstruction from the drain hose. | |
| It is too noisy. | Noise is generated when the dispenser lid is open and the drain pump is operating at an early stage. | With the dishwasher empty and without detergent, place an 8-ounce cup of vinegar upright on the bottom rack and then run a normal cycle. |
| The dishwasher is not level. | This is a normal operation. | |
| Foreign material (a screw, a plastic piece) is in the pump chamber. | Ensure the dishwasher is level. | |
| There is a \"cutting\" sound because a nozzle is hitting the dishes. | Contact a technician to remove foreign material from the pump chamber. | |
| A nozzle does not rotate smoothly. | The nozzle hole is clogged with food particles. | Rearrange the dishes. |
| The nozzle is blocked by a dish or pot and cannot rotate. | Clean the nozzle hole. Refer to page 20. | |
| Water does not pump out of the dishwasher. | The drain is obstructed. | After loading the dishes in the racks, rotate the nozzles by hand to check if any of the dishes interfere with them. |
| The upper rack is bent after loading dishes. | Dishes are not loaded correctly. | Contact a technician to remove any drain hose obstruction and check the drain pump operation. |
