Samsung Update

Installs and updates Samsung apps and drivers. Connect to the internet for updates. Only apps installed via this app can be updated. Features may vary.

1. Start button → All apps → Samsung Update.
2. Agree to User Agreement (if first time).
3. Click 'Update all' or individual 'Install'/'Update' buttons.

Samsung Recovery

Restores the computer to factory default settings or a previous backup point. Back up important data regularly.

Recovering to factory default:

1. When computer starts Windows: Start button → All apps → Samsung Recovery.
2. When computer does not start Windows: Turn on and press F4 key before Samsung logo.
3. Select 'Computer factory reset' → 'Start factory reset'.

Backing up data:

1. Backing up current system: Start button → All apps → Samsung Recovery → 'Back up computer'. Select drive and 'Start backup'.
2. Backing up user data: Start computer, press F4 key. Select 'Back up user data'. Choose files/folders and storage device.

Recovering after backup:

1. Connect external storage device.
2. Start button → All apps → Samsung Recovery.
3. Select 'Backup and restore management'.
4. Select 'Restore' and 'Start restore'.

Samsung PC Diagnostics

Tests hardware components of Samsung PCs. Requires default OS.

1. Start button → All apps → Samsung PC Diagnostics.
2. Select 'Diagnostics'.
3. Select 'Start' for the desired test. Follow on-screen instructions.
