Warranty Summary
ReliOn® warrants the Prime Meter to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for five years from the original purchase date.
- Insert a ReliOn® Prime Test Strip into the meter.
- Press the Back or Forward button to display the average of tests over the last 14 or 30 days if desired.
- Apply blood to the sample application tip of the test strip.
- Wait for the result to appear on the display screen.
- Remove the test strip and properly dispose of it.
Troubleshooting and error codes

| ! (exclamation mark) | Low blood glucose (LO) | Repeat test with new test strip. Contact healthcare professional if it persists. |
| HI | High blood glucose (HI) | Repeat test with new test strip. Contact healthcare professional immediately if it persists. |
| E0 | Battery replaced | Check and set time and date correctly. |
| E1 ! | Used strip or reading difficulty | Repeat test with a new test strip. |
| Battery Symbol (not flashing) | Low battery power | Enough power for ~100 tests, replace soon. |
| Battery Symbol (flashing) | Very low battery power | Enough power for ~20 tests, replace soon. |
| E4 | Battery too low for testing | Replace with a new CR2032 battery. |
| Thermometer Symbol (flashing) | Meter/strips outside optimum temperature | Ensure meter and strips are between 50°F - 104°F (10°C - 40°C). |
| E6 ! | Temperature out of acceptable range | Allow meter and strips to reach 41°F - 113°F (5°C - 45°C). |
| E11 ! | Corrupted memory | Call Customer Service at 800.631.0076. |
| E13 ! | Not enough blood | Retest with new strip, apply at least 0.5µL of blood. |
