Basic Operation Summary

Powering On/Off:

  • Press the STANDBY/ON switch or button to turn the unit on or put it in standby mode.
  • Direct power-on is available by pressing buttons like TUNER, CD, TAPE, MD, or LINE 1, 2, OPT IN (depending on the component and unit).

Tuner Operations:

  • Press the TUNER button to select FM or AM band.
  • Use the 44 or ►► buttons for manual tuning.
  • Press and hold 44 or ►► for high-speed manual tuning.
  • Auto tuning can be performed by pressing and holding 44 or ►► until the frequency starts to change.
  • Stations can be memorized using the STATION MEMORY button.
  • RDS (Radio Data System) features allow display of station name, program type, and radio text.

CD/MD/Cassette Operations:

  • Press the CD, MD, or TAPE button to select the respective source.
  • Use the Play/Pause (/II), Stop (■), Track Search (◄◄►►), Fast Forward/Reverse (44►►), and Music Search (►►) buttons for playback control.
  • Programmed playback, random playback, and repeat playback are available.
  • MD editing functions include naming tracks/discs, combining/dividing tracks, moving tracks, and erasing tracks.

Sound Control:

  • Adjust bass and treble using the BASS and TREBLE buttons.
  • Balance can be adjusted using the BALANCE button.
  • Stereo Wide effect can be activated/deactivated using the ST. WIDE button.

Timer Functions:

  • Wake-up timer allows the system to turn on and play a source at a set time.
  • Timer Recording allows for unattended recording from the tuner or LINE inputs.
  • Sleep timer automatically turns the unit off after a specified period.

Troubleshooting and error codes
