To Play A Compact Disc:
To Pause Playback Temporarily: Press the Play/Pause (►/II) button during playback. Press it again to resume.
To Stop Playback: Press the Stop (■) button. Pressing it twice returns to the beginning of the first disc.
To Stop Playback and Remove Magazine: Press the Eject (hutton, remove the magazine, then turn off the power.
Disc Search: Use the DISC button or DISC NUMBER buttons to select a disc, then press ►/II to play from the beginning of that disc.
Track Search: Use the ◄◄ or ►►►► buttons to advance to a desired track or return to the beginning of the current track.
Repeat Playback: Press the REPEAT button to repeat the current track or all tracks.
Random Playback: Press the RANDOM PLAY button to play all tracks in random order.
Magazine Hi-Lite Scan: Press HI-LITE SCAN to play short segments of tracks/discs.
Program Playback: Use PROGRAM and track selection buttons to create a custom playback order.
Delete Program Playback: Use DELETE to remove tracks from playback.

| Magazine is not expelled when the EJECT button is pressed. | Power plug is disconnected from outlet. | Connect plug to amplifier or wall outlet. |
| When playback is started, it stops immediately. | Disc is loaded upside down. Smudges, etc., on the disc. | Load the disc correctly with the label side DOWN. Clean the smudges from the disc and then play it again. |
| Pauses or stops during playback. | Output cords are connected incorrectly or loosely. Incorrect operation of stereo amplifier. Pin plugs and/or amplifier terminals are dirty. Player is in pause mode. | Connect properly. Check the settings of amplifier switches and sound volume controls. Clean away dirt. Press the ►/II button. |
