Troubleshooting and error codes

Issue Troubleshooting Steps
Spindle motor does not move Check FFC connection, RFA5V voltage, laser voltage. Check voltage on pin 44 of U1, focus. Check/Replace U1 or loader.
The power can not be on or off Check power supply on power board. Check CON301 connection. Check connection to K301. Check voltage difference on Pin 100 PCON of U1. Repair/Replace power board or U1.
All output voltages on the power board is 0V or deviated Check if F1 is blown. Check for 300V on C4. Check 100KHz oscillating signal on Pin6 of U1. Check if +5V, +12V, -12V are short. Check components in short-circuit voltage. Replace F1, C4, U1, U2.
Disc cannot be read Check FFC connection. Check laser voltage. Check U1, U2, peripheral components. Check RFO signal. Check connection between U1. Replace U1 or loader.
Only DVD disc or only disc except DVD can be played Check FFC connection. Check laser voltage. Check voltage variance on pin 22 of U1. Check pin 1 to pin38 of U1 and peripheral components. Check Q4, Q5, Q6. Change U2 or the loader.
Distorted audio and loud noise Check power supply voltages +12V and -12V. Check muting transistors Q12, Q15. Check U1 leads. Check U7 or U1 power supply. Replace R9, R14, Q12, Q15, U1, U7.
Abnormal color of video picture Check 27MHz output signal. Check 3.3V and 2.5V power supply voltages. Check video filter network circuit. Check Y1, R19, C32, C33, other power supply circuits. Correct connection. Change U1.
Remote reception is insensitive or fails Check remote control. Check battery. Check power supply voltage to remote censor. Check REM1 waveform. Check IR signal on pin 106 of U12. Change U1. Correct connection.
No video picture, no sound Check voltages from power board to decoder board. Check reset circuit. Check 27MHz signal output. Check 115MHz signal output. Check loaded circuit. Change CE17, R47. Check Crystal oscillator Y1 and peripheral components. Check U3, U6. Check U4.
No display on LED, and buttons do not work Check contact between CON301 and CN5. Check VCC(+5v) voltage. Check CS, DATA, CLK signals on CON301. Check U1's pin 92,94,95. Check solder on U301 and LED pins. Check circuit connected to K302, K303, K304, K301. Check R300, R301, R302. Fix power supply board. Correct connection. Replace U301 or LED.
