Charging the Earphones

  1. Place earphones in the charging box.
  2. Connect the USB cable to the charging box and then to a power source.
  3. The LED on the front panel indicates charging status.
  4. A full charge for earphones or box takes approximately 2 hours.

Pairing with a Bluetooth Device

  1. Ensure earphones are fully charged and powered off.
  2. Open the charging box lid. Earphones will enter pairing mode (LEDs flash white & blue alternately).
  3. Turn on Bluetooth on your device and select 'Philips TAT2236'.
  4. Enter '0000' if prompted for older Bluetooth devices.

Music and Call Control

  • Play/Pause: Single tap on either earpiece.
  • Skip Forward: Triple tap on either earpiece.
  • Volume Control: Use your mobile phone.
  • Pick Up Call: Single tap on either earpiece.
  • Hang Up Call: Tap and hold on either earpiece.
  • Switch Call: Triple tap on either earpiece during a 3-way call.

Troubleshooting and error codes

Problem Solution
Bluetooth earphones does not turn on. The battery level is low. Charge the earphones.
Cannot pair Bluetooth earphones with Bluetooth device. Bluetooth is disabled on your device. Enable Bluetooth and turn on the device before turning on earphones.
Pairing does not work. Put both earphones in charging box. Disable Bluetooth on previously connected devices. Delete 'Philips TAT2236' from your device's Bluetooth list and re-pair.
Bluetooth device cannot find earphones. Earphones may be connected to a previously paired device. Turn off the connected device or move it out of range. Reset pairing or pair again.
Music only plays on mobile phone speaker. Refer to your mobile phone's manual. Select to listen to music through earphones.
Audio quality is poor and crackling noise. Bluetooth device is out of range. Reduce distance or remove obstacles. Charge earphones.
Audio quality is poor or streaming is very slow. Ensure your mobile phone supports (mono) HSP/HFP, A2DP, and BT4.0x or higher.
