  1. Load film into the camera.
  2. Set exposure compensation dial to "1x" for normal exposure.
  3. Set the ASA film speed.
  4. Preselect the aperture.
  5. Set the shutter speed dial to AUTO.
  6. Advance the rapid-wind lever until it stops.
  7. Compose and focus by turning the focusing ring.
  8. Pull out the rapid-wind lever slightly and slightly depress the shutter release button to turn on the battery switches. The viewfinder will illuminate the selected shutter speed.
  9. Depress the shutter button completely to take the picture.

Troubleshooting and error codes

Problem Possible Cause Solution
Blurry pictures Camera movement Hold camera firmly, use tripod, or proper hand position.
Over or underexposure Incorrect aperture or shutter speed selection Adjust aperture or check LED indicators for proper exposure.
LED dot flickers or does not light Weak or dead batteries Replace batteries.
Mirror may lock up Shutter button pressed with lens cap on or in poor light Turn shutter dial to 100X to close shutter, then reset to AUTO.
