Warranty Information

This appliance has a 3-year warranty from the date of purchase for material or manufacturing faults.

Switching on and off

Insert the power plug into a mains wall socket.

Switching on: Press the ON/OFF switch 1.

Switching off: Let go of the ON/OFF switch 1.

Setting the stroke depth

Use the stroke rate control 2 to adjust the engraving depth. A low setting is usually sufficient for most applications.

Turn the stroke rate control 2 towards the '+' to increase the stroke depth.

Turn the stroke rate control 2 towards the '-' to decrease the stroke depth.

NOTE

When increasing the stroke depth, do not turn the stroke rate control 2 too far in the '+' direction, or you may unscrew the control from the appliance.

Changing the engraving tips

CAUTION! RISK OF INJURY! Switch off the appliance and remove the power plug before commencing any work.

Change the engraving tip 5 when it becomes worn and no longer delivers desired results. Turn the engraving tip lock 6 anticlockwise until the engraving tip 5 can be removed.

Remove the spring and washer.

Slide the washer and spring onto a new engraving tip 5. Insert it into the appliance and turn the engraving tip lock 6 clockwise to lock the tip.

Ensure the engraving tip 5 is fixed correctly.

Working procedures

Hold the appliance at an angle, like a pen, with your arm resting on the table.

Move the engraving tip 5 over the workpiece with gentle pressure. Practice on spare material to find the ideal speed.

NOTE

The supplied engraving tip 5 is made of tungsten steel and is not suitable for engraving electronic media like CDs or DVDs, as this could damage the materials and their readability.
