Power ON and OFF Modes:
Key Features:
| No picture | The signal cable should be completely connected to the display card/computer. The display card should be completely seated in its slot. Check the main Power Switch, it should be in the ON position. Power Switch and computer power switch should be in the ON position. Check to make sure that a supported mode has been selected on the display card or system being used. Check the monitor and your display card with respect to compatibility and recommended settings. Check the signal cable connector for bent or pushed-in pins. The monitor automatically goes into OFF at the preset time period after signal is lost. Press the power button. Check the DVI MODE setting when DVD player or computer equipment is connected to the DVI input. |
| Power Button does not respond | Unplug the power cord of the monitor from the AC outlet to turn off and reset the monitor. Check the main Power Switch on the back side of the monitor. |
| Snowy Picture, Black Screen in DVI input | Check the DVI MODE setting when DVD player or computer equipment is connected to the DVI input. |
| Image persistence | LCD Technology may experience Image Persistence. To alleviate, turn off the monitor for as long as the previous image was displayed. Displaying moving images and using a moving screen saver at regular intervals is recommended. |
| Image is unstable, unfocused or swimming is apparent | Signal cable should be completely attached to the computer. Use OSD Image Adjust controls to focus and adjust. Check monitor and display card compatibility. Change video mode to non-interlace and use 60Hz refresh rate. Image may be distorted when turning power on or changing settings. |
| Image of component signal is greenish | Check to see if the Y/Pb/Pr input connector is selected. |
| LED on monitor is not lit (no green or red color can be seen) | Power Switch should be in the ON position and power cord should be connected. |
| RED LED on monitor is blinking | A failure might have occurred, contact NEC service. If monitor powered off due to high temperature, RED LED blinks six times. Power on after temperature reduces. |
| Display image is not sized properly | Use OSD Image Adjust controls for coarse adjustment. Check for supported mode on display card or system. |
| Selected resolution is not displayed properly | Use OSD Display Mode to confirm resolution and select if necessary. |
| No Sound | Check audio cable connection. Check if mute is activated. Check volume setting. Check computer support for audio via DisplayPort. Contact manufacturer if unsure. Check if SURROUND is ON. Check Internal/External speaker switch. |
| Remote Control is not available | Check batteries status and insertion. Ensure remote points to sensor. Check IR LOCK SETTING. Avoid direct sunlight on sensor. |
| "SCHEDULE"/"OFF TIMER" function is not working properly | "SCHEDULE" disabled when "OFF TIMER" is set. "OFF TIMER" resets if power is interrupted. |
| Snowy Picture, Poor Sound in TV | Check antenna/cable connection. Use new cable if necessary. |
| Interference in TV | Check components for shielding, move away from monitor if necessary. |
| RS-232C or LAN control is not available | Check RS-232C or LAN cable connection. |
