Warranty Information

Contact your ShieldPRO supplier for repair or warranty information.

  • Suspending and Hibernating: ShieldPRO may not immediately enter suspend or hibernate states. Ensure all operations are terminated. PC cards, executed programs from external media, or insufficient HDD space may prevent these states. Check system settings for hibernation enablement.
  • Resuming from Suspend/Hibernate: If the battery is completely discharged, ShieldPRO will automatically enter suspend/hibernate. Connect the AC adapter or replace the battery. If the screen is disturbed and power turns off upon resuming, turn on the power switch.
  • Powering Off: If the power cannot be turned off, an error or application freeze may occur. Press Ctrl+Alt+Del to abort applications and then hold the power button for four seconds to force shutdown.
  • Software Issues: If an application operates improperly, confirm installation, consult application documentation for error messages, or reboot ShieldPRO.
  • Sound Issues: If sound is distorted, check mute settings, volume levels, sound driver installation, and ensure ShieldPRO is not in suspend state. Verify external speaker connections.
  • External Devices: Ensure microphones and external sound devices are properly connected and Windows volume settings are correct. For CD-ROM/R drives, verify disk placement and cleanliness. For floppy disk drives, check for physical damage, proper insertion, formatting, and write-protection status.
  • Password Issues: If an invalid password is entered, re-enter carefully, checking Caps Lock and Num Lock status. If a password is forgotten, use the password hint, log in with another account, or ask an administrator. For supervisor passwords, contact your supplier.
  • Date/Clock Incorrect: Check OS and BIOS clocks. If system time is wrong, the application may be defective. If RTC (BIOS) time is wrong, the backup battery may be low or a hardware error may have occurred.
