The APEX1000 All-Purpose Edge QAM is a 1 RU platform that combines flexibility, high availability, high QAM density, encryption capabilities (MediaCipher or SimulCrypt), and low power consumption.
Key features include:
- Support for up to three removable QAM modules, each with two RF ports capable of handling eight QAM channels.
- Ability to perform Video-on-Demand (VOD), Switched Digital Video (SDV), or broadcast services on any of the 48 available QAM channels.
- Four SFP slots for optical or electrical GigE inputs, supporting full transport stream redundancy for all 48 QAM channels.
- Support for three session control modes for SDV edge QAM functionality in RTSP and RPC cable networks.
