Using the appliance

To unwind the mains cable, pull it out to the required length. For vacuuming longer than 30 minutes, extend the cable fully to prevent overheating and damage.

To rewind the cable, switch off at the wall socket, remove the plug, and press the rewind foot switch. The cable will rewind automatically.

To switch the vacuum cleaner on or off, step on the On-Off foot switch.

Models with radio controls

Models with radio controls have a stand-by indicator. To pause operation, press the stand-by button on the handle. To resume, press the stand-by button again, or press '+' for highest power, or '-' for lowest power.

Vacuuming

Pull the cleaner behind you on its wheels. Stand it upright for stairs and curtains. Be aware of electrostatic charges when vacuuming fine dust and keep your hand on the metal strip under the handle.

Regulating suction

Adjust suction power using the rotary selector, +/- foot controls, or +/- controls on the handle. Symbols indicate suitable settings for different surfaces and fabrics.

Opening air inlet valve

On models without radio controls, open the air inlet valve on the handle to temporarily reduce suction power, e.g., for rugs.

Troubleshooting and error codes

Symptom Possible Cause Remedy
The vacuum cleaner switches off automatically. The temperature limiter has switched the appliance off because it has become too hot. Switch off the vacuum cleaner using the On-Off switch . Disconnect from the electricity supply. Switch off at the wall socket and remove the plug. After removing the cause, wait for approx. 20 - 30 minutes to allow the vacuum cleaner to cool down. It can then be switched on again.
On certain models, the overheating warning light also comes on. The vacuum cleaner has become too hot. See above.
