- Switching on: Turn the On/Off dial clockwise from "0" until the temperature display lights up. The alarm indicator will light up and go out when the temperature is cold enough. Allow a few hours for the appliance to cool before adding food.
- Cool pack: Place in the top drawer or freezer tray for best results after 24 hours.
- Switching off: Turn the On/Off dial anti-clockwise to "0". All indicator lights go out and the cooling system switches off.
- Switching off for longer periods: Switch off, unplug, clean, and leave the door ajar.
- Setting temperature: Use the temperature selector dial. Set to -18°C or colder for freezing fresh food. The temperature display shows the required temperature.
- Alarm: The appliance has a warning system for temperature rise. It will sound and the indicator light will flash. The alarm can be switched off early.
- Super freeze: Switch on before adding large quantities of fresh food (6-24 hours beforehand). The Super freeze indicator light will come on. It switches off automatically after 65 hours or when the set temperature is reached.
Troubleshooting and error codes

| Brrrrr... | Humming noise made by the motor (compressor). This noise can get louder for brief periods when the motor is switching on. |
| Blubb, blubb.... | A gurgling noise can be heard when coolant is circulating through the pipes. |

| Sssrrrrr.... | On multi-zone and frost-free appliances you can sometimes just hear the movement of air circulating inside the appliance. |

| Rattling, vibrating | The appliance is uneven: Realign the appliance using a spirit level, by raising or lowering the screw feet underneath the appliance. |
