  • Before first use: Clean the interior and accessories. Allow the appliance to stand for 1.5-2 hours after transport before connecting to the mains.
  • Switching on: Press the On/Off button. The temperature display and alarm indicator will flash until the freezer reaches the correct temperature. Allow a few hours before adding food.
  • Cool pack: Place in the top or shallow drawer. Most effective after 24 hours in the freezer.
  • Switching off: Press On/Off button until the display goes out.
  • Switching off for longer periods: Switch off at the appliance and wall socket, unplug, clean, and leave the door ajar.
  • Temperature setting: Press the temperature selector button repeatedly. The temperature can be set between -15°C and -32°C. A finer adjustment can be made between -15°C and -18°C.
  • Super freeze: Switch on before adding large quantities of fresh food to freeze it quickly. Switches off automatically after approx. 65 hours or can be switched off manually.
  • Freezing food: Do not exceed maximum freezing capacity. Freeze fresh food quickly. Use appropriate packaging. Freeze in portions.
  • Storing frozen food: Check packaging, use-by date, and shop storage temperature. Buy frozen food last and store immediately.
  • Defrosting: Can be done in microwave, oven, at room temperature, in the refrigerator, or steam oven. Observe hygiene rules for poultry.
  • Cleaning: Clean outer casing, interior, and accessories with mild detergent and soft cloth. Ensure ventilation gaps are clear. Clean door seal with water only.

Troubleshooting and error codes

Problem Possible Cause Solution
Appliance/Freezer compartment too warm The appliance is not switched on. Switch the appliance on.
The temperature display flashes. The temperature is not within the possible range, a different temperature is being set, or the temperature has risen significantly. Check door is closed, do not overfill, ensure adequate ventilation. If the problem persists, contact the service department.
Alarm sounds. The temperature in the freezer has risen too high. Check door is closed, do not overfill, ensure adequate ventilation. Switch off the alarm early if it disturbs you.
Door alarm sounds. The door has been left open for more than 60 seconds. Close the door.
The appliance is noisy. Normal operating noises (compressor, coolant flow). This is normal and does not affect performance.
Water on the floor. The appliance is not level. Level the appliance using the adjustable feet.
