Cooktop Operation Summary

Basic Operation:

  • Switching On/Off: Use the sensor control (1) to switch the cooktop on and off.
  • Cooking Zones: Select a cooking zone by touching its numerical keybank (6).
  • Setting Power Level: Use the numerical keybank (6) to set the desired power level from 1 to 9.
  • Booster Function: Activate the Booster function (11) for maximum power for a short period.
  • Keeping Warm: Use the Keeping warm function (5) to maintain food temperature.
  • Timer: Set the minute minder (8) for timed cooking or automatic switch-off of a cooking zone (7).

Safety Features:

  • Residual Heat Indicator (10): Warns if a cooking zone is still hot.
  • Wipe Protection (3): Temporarily locks the controls to allow cleaning.
  • System Lock/Safety Lock (LOC): Prevents accidental activation.
  • Automatic Switch-off (9): The cooktop switches off automatically if a cooking zone is left on for too long without user interaction.

Troubleshooting and error codes

Fault / Display Possible Cause Remedy
F Electronics fault Call Miele Service.
U Power supply problem Check mains connection. Reset circuit breaker.
dE Demonstration mode activated Switch cooktop off and on again. Refer to "Demonstration mode" in the manual.
Pan not recognised Incorrect pan or pan not centred Use a suitable pan. Place pan in the centre of the cooking zone.
Cooktop not heating Safety switch-off activated / No power Check power supply. Reset circuit breaker. Ensure no safety interlocks are active.
