Turning on the cooktop: Place a pot or pan on the desired burner. Touch the ON/OFF cooktop touch control. A dash will appear in burner displays and 00 in the timer display. If no setting is chosen within seconds, the cooktop turns off.
Turning on a burner: Touch the burner's On/Off control. The display shows 0. Select power level 1-12 using the +/- sensors. You can choose to cook with or without auto-heat.
Settings: The manual provides a table of suggested power levels for various cooking tasks, from melting butter to boiling water. These are guidelines; adjust based on pan depth, quantity, and lid use.
Auto-heat: Activates the burner at the highest setting then switches to the selected continued power level. Taking the pan off interrupts this function, which resumes if the pan is replaced within 3 minutes.
