Operation

Rapid ignition system: Quick and efficient burner ignition.

Switching on: To switch on a burner, push down the control knob and turn it to the desired setting. The ignitor will spark.

Adjusting the flame: Turn the control knob to adjust the flame intensity. The flame symbol indicates the setting.

Switching off: Turn the control knob to the "off" position (symbol •). The gas supply will be shut off.

In-operation/Residual heat indicators: These indicators show if a burner is on or if the surface is still hot.

Minute minder

Minute minder duration: Set the duration for the minute minder.

Setting the minute minder for a burner: Select the desired burner and set the duration.

System lock, minute minder: Activate the system lock to prevent accidental changes to settings.

Troubleshooting and error codes

Problem Possible Cause Solution
Burner does not ignite Gas supply is turned off. Turn on the gas supply.
Ignitor is dirty or damp. Clean the ignitor.
Burner cap or burner head is not correctly positioned. Reassemble the burner cap and head correctly.
Gas flow is blocked. Contact Miele Service.
Flame goes out during cooking Flame failure device is not working. Contact Miele Service.
Uneven flame Burner is dirty. Clean the burner.
Incorrect gas pressure. Have the gas pressure checked by a qualified fitter.
Yellow flame Gas supply is incorrect for the appliance setting. Convert the appliance to the correct gas type (see "Conversion to another type of gas").
Control knob cannot be turned System lock is activated. Deactivate the system lock.
Minute minder display shows an error code Refer to the error code list in the manual. Contact Miele Service if the problem persists.
