How to Use Your LG Microwave Oven

1. Installation:

  • Unpack and place on a flat, level surface with adequate ventilation (at least 20cm top, 10cm rear, 8cm front).
  • Plug into a grounded household socket, ensuring it's the only appliance connected.
  • Test operation by heating 300ml of water for 3 minutes.

2. Setting the Clock:

  • Press STOP/CLEAR.
  • Press CLOCK.
  • Use time setting keys (10 MIN, 1 MIN, 10 SEC) to set the desired time. Press and hold for rapid increase.
  • Press CLOCK again to confirm.

3. Child Lock:

  • Press and hold STOP/CLEAR until 'L' appears.
  • To cancel, press and hold STOP/CLEAR until 'L' disappears.

4. Cooking Modes:

  • Micro Power Cooking: Select power level (HIGH to LOW) and time using MICRO and time setting keys.
  • Two Stage Cooking: Program two different cooking stages sequentially.
  • Quick Start: Press START for 30-second intervals of HIGH power cooking.
  • Grill Cooking: Use the grill function for browning and crisping.
  • Combination Cooking: Use microwave and heater simultaneously or alternately.
  • Auto Cook: Select food category and enter weight for automatic cooking.
  • Auto Defrost: Select food type (Meat, Poultry, Fish, Bread) and enter weight for automatic defrosting.
  • Quick Defrost: Use for fast defrosting of specific items like minced meat.

5. Timer:

  • Press KITCHEN TIMER.
  • Set desired time using time setting keys.
  • Press START to begin countdown.

6. More or Less Cooking:

  • During AUTO COOK or manual cooking, press MORE/LESS to adjust cooking time in 10-second increments.

7. Heating/Reheating & Vegetable Guides:

  • Refer to charts for recommended cook times and instructions for various foods.

8. Safety & Utensils:

  • Read all safety instructions carefully.
  • Only use microwave-safe utensils. Avoid metal.
